Mr. Attitude liked your horseshoe crab video. He's asking me if we can hang out at the zoo because he likes animals a lot. He wants a pet chameleon. Am I the luckiest woman in the world?!!
F.C. I love your blog, thanks so much for such an interesting read. If you don't mind would you hop over to my blog and read my most recent post. I am not sure of the bug's I.D., but I bet you will know! Thanks, Tuff
Deb, You just may be except for that whole frost in July thang!
Lisa, They are cute in a scuttley sorta way.
Tuff, Thanks!! Will do although I'm not as buggy as some of my readers when it comes to insect ID.
Ericka, Like a treadmill for horseshoe crabs!
Laura, Ha! I hear ya! shorts, minimal shirts, and shoes are optional. I don't know how fast horseshoe crabs grow, but based on what their crustacean cousins do, I think it's only a year to full size.
Aunty, I fill my scuba tank with seawater. :)
Cindy, It was 3 hours of butt sittn listening to a powerpoint lecture. Packed though and lots of teachers who were suddenly told they will be AP in two weeks. Not me this year, I'd want a year to prepare and then maybe next year. Administrators are pushing it because school grade points are awarded for each kid in an AP course. If I do it, I'm doing it right, not jumping in with no prep time. Plus, I don't see a great advantage to the kid over our excellent dual enrollment situation. I know I wouldn't want Junior to pick AP over the dual enrollment courses he has chosen.

Was it any consolation that it was a rainy day?

lol - poor little crab. i'm running (crawling? skittering? locomoting!) as fast as i can! ahhhh!
A shirt with sleeves? A belt?
(harumph!)
I can't even bear the thought of socks, never mind proper shoes after Memorial Day! But proper grown-up clothes?
(forget it!)
That baby horseshoe is cool... I wonder how many years it takes for them to grow into the size to scare a marsh loving Lab?
Lake City? Pretty far inland fer a fella wif gills. Heh.
Well at least it was $$$. How was it?
Cathy S,
A little.

Long pants and a belt? Oh that's no way to dress in summer, even it is for a fancy meeting!
You must have been melting in that outfit! I rarely wear anything that covers arms or legs in the summer. It's just too hot. Love the pics!
