Guess Where I'm Heading ...

That's right ...

... I'm soaring over to the ancient city ...

... flying solo, so I may have time to land somewhere wild,
... or, I just might keep soaring.

  1. I so love pelicans!!! Much like people - awkward and ungainly until they're in their element. There, they are the most graceful of creatures.

  2. Get some of the other coast for me, too. If you stop along the way we'll be waiting to see what you see... Beautiful Florida day for all of it!

  3. Have fun. That first photo is a great shot of the wave.

  4. Aaaaaaaahhhhhhh.... need.... waves!!!

Be careful out there and bring back lots of memories to share. I have 2-3 necessary errands today, then I'm making time for a long, slow drive along the coast for some much needed re-creating.

Hey! A Bear calendar! What a cool idea! That cover shot would make a great mouse pad... or mug... or, well, just about anything. 8-]

  5. Have fun! Mr. Attitude saw this post and told me he wants to see some pelicans. I'll have to remember that when a flock of whites migrates through this spring.

  7. How cool is it to be a pelican and just sail above the waves by inches!

  8. Sayre,
I love them too. Sobering to think we almost lost them.

    Meems,
It was a gorgeous day, but not my best photo op day. Perhaps this one...

    Jean,
There were some beautiful tubes that day. I shot a bunch of just wave shots.
    Little chilly for surfing tho.

    Sophie,
Made a mug today this morning, more to come!

    Deb,
The whites stop off at Cedar Key on their way south, so we get to see them a little in the winter.

    Ericka,
Alas my schedule slurped up most of my picture time. Gotta make up for that today!

    Caroline,
    Tres, tres cool.

    Secretariat,
    huh?

  9. Awesome pictures!

Flurries this morning, switching to rain tomorrow thru Friday, then switching back to snow on Saturday! Looks like we'll have a soggy Christmas and a possible white day after!

  10. Hi FC,

I went backwards when I opened your blog!! Great picture. Is that a recent photo? St. Augustine?? Did you enhance the color?

It's been a while since I've been to the beach. Time to go.

    Merry Christmas.

    Patti
