I had to run into town after work yesterday for bread and milk, but I got distracted.
A short walk into Manatee Springs State Park revealed this.
| The fact that the artist, Claude Monet popped into my head as I edited these photos means that "Art History", the most boring college course I ever slept through, must have done some good. |
Ah, if Monet had run out for bread and milk, this is what he would have seen. Beautiful manatee!
ReplyDeleteWay to carpe a frigid diem, FC. Thank you for this serene glimpse of a beloved sirenian.
ReplyDeleteSorry. Watching bits of the leadup to the Harvard/Yale game brings out the ten dolla words. :)
Agreed... it is Monetish. Thank you for sharing with us your spectacular corner of our great state!
ReplyDeleteso thin! Quick! Fling in some green stuff!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, interesting!
ReplyDeleteOh, how beautiful, although I am sorry to see your area so cold.
ReplyDeleteThis will teach me to look at your site on my computer, not on my phone. I couldn't see the manatees! Cool!
ReplyDeleteIt has warmed up here now so they may spread out into the river a bit, but they are regulars in the spring this time of year.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots!
ReplyDeleteTime for some manatee steaks. They are the best this time of year.
