But it also brought the sandhill cranes! I watched from our deck for about 2 hours this afternoon (37F) and counted in excess of 50 flocks of sandhills, probably between 4000 and 5000 birds. Unbelievable, amazing, timeless!<BR/>CarolineCarolinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09646529544107229536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12006171.post-35293086516942165432008-10-12T19:28:00.000-05:002008-10-12T19:28:00.000-05:00Aunty,Look in the scrub gal. The sun has been especially big on the horizon in recent weeks because of equinox: its shockingly big.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17989947946488835186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12006171.post-87832293729704240232008-10-11T13:41:00.000-05:002008-10-11T13:41:00.000-05:00Hmm, first I found this: http://community.wildflow...Hmm, first I found this: http://community.wildflowerhaven.com/photos/south_texas/category1013/picture227.aspx.
