Hee hee. This SO reminds me of my youth. We used to go to Daytona or the Tampa/St Pete area in the summer. I loved swimming with my Dad out to the sandbar and finding sand dollars with my toes!
Rurality, I know what you mean. They were everywhere. Anywhere I stuck a toe or finger in the sand, there seemed to be a sand dollar, quarter, or dime.
