  2. that chew toy looks remarkably like your socks.

well, trust me on this one, better socks than feather pillows. *sigh*

hope your week isn't too crazy!

  3. Sometimes the dog makes chew toys out of everything in the house...aaarrgghh...

    Hang in there!

  4. Well if it's any consolation, she looks very comfortable! Clearly she is living a very good life. Now you head back to work and earn more money for chew toys. ;)

(on a more serious note, hope your schedule gets better! Good luck and stay sane.)

  5. Aww, who doesn't love dogs! Adorable! Ours is similar to yours, only black with a smokey patch on his chest (that's why we named him Smokey). His favorite toy of all is a tennis ball.

  7. POPatricia,
    I think he is.

    Hick,
It's our secret, but he is and sugar sweet too.

    Robin,
Just life and too little time to think ... hence the "deep" post.

    Ericka,
Well, your dog probably thought there was some poor bird trapped inside the pillow... and yes, that is an old sock.

    Deb,
For the first year, they think everything is a chewtoy. Especially labs.

    Laura,
Flounder asked me to let you know that he is a boy dog. He's sensitive about gender. :)
Things will get better, Mrs. FC is away and I'm Mr. Mom and Mr. Dad.
Just a little bit busier for a few days.

    MoMadness,
This guy loves a good tennis ball too. He just likes to walk around with it in his mouth.

    HTeen,
    Busy everywhere.

  8. Heh, I feel your pain. We have been crazy busy at work (hunting season has been particularly trying this year) and things on the homefront are more insane than usual :)

Hang tough! Thanksgiving is just around the corner! (No, wait, I have to work Thanksgiving -- nevermind)

  9. Swampy,
I remember working Thanksgiving ...double pay as I recall, but a poor substitute for Mom's turkey.

  10. Extra pay is always nice and the turkey will still be cooked (I am, afterall, the MOM). It'll just be a day late. The only thing I dread is the free-for-all of hunting dogs and hunters, neither of whom seem to be able to read boundary line signs ;)

  13. ThreeCollie and Sandy,
Not awful, just busy to the max with no silver lining visible yet.
