Other Pond Life

Black Willow blossoms. In a few weeks the air will fill with downy willow seeds.
"I don't know, what do you think it is?"
Along with the newts, tiger salamander larva, and tadpoles, an occasional Labpole will make an appearance.

    I wonder: Is anybody allergic to willow trees? Like Black Labs? (I'm guessing the dog is swimming to get rid of the willow seeds, right?)

    SEEDS! NO MORE SEEDS! What are those stringy brown seeds that are raining down by the buckets here in Florida! They stick to the cats, our feet, our hair and I'm so snuffy I can't see straight. Errggg.

    The Labpole is distinguished by its tail, which will propel it through any kinds of waters. Much more efficient than than the Brittanypole, which will just splash a lot of water.
