I'm kinda partial to yellow water lilies and dasheen, prothonotary warblers and common yellowthroats, yellow rice with black beans, mango, tiger swallowtails. Oh, and yellow roses are my favourites.

Actually I was thinking goldfinches. Why do they get so amazingly yellow? And, for that matter, yellow seems to be a warbler theme. Like Sophiemae, I like the yellowthroats.

I can't think of golden flowers either. Maybe in afternoon light some of these yellow ones might qualify for a fleeting moment.

The visitor on the prickly pear flower is a member of one of my favorite groups of beetles, the longhorns (Cerambycidae). Yours is probably Strangalia luteicornis, which is very appropriate for this entry, given that luteicornis means "yellow horns." Beautiful photos. I'll pick cloudless sulphur butterflies as my favorite yellow thing.
