Dog Days

Just a nod to Artfulsub who has a Monday photo contest/meme/thingie goin' on.
Be forwarned if you visit Artfulsub's site, it's not always as PG as PF.
Also, don't be alarmed if your link disappears from my side bar this week. I'll be deleting them as I transfer them to a new place. It helps me to keep up with which ones are moved already. I have a lot of new folks to add also.
This pic of Flounder trying to move a bagel by telekinesis is all I have today. It's a crazy morning here on the Florida frontier.
Have a magnificently marvelous Monday!

  1. Go for it, Flounder! It'll be worth it. So what if they yell at you, who cares? You'll be so busy munching you won't even hear them. Jump!

We are getting hellish afternoon thunderstorms almost every day. Lots of rain, lots of heat, lots of humidity. The plants and the frogs are totally digging it. All sorts of frog voices could be heard last night. I just love their sounds!

Have a great week and take care :)

  3. Well Flounder, it ain't a bubba burger, but it looka good anyway. Hope your mind powers worked for you. :)

  4. Happy Mute Monday. All but one of the Mute Monday entries were PG this week so far But ya never know.

Bubba burgers! I used to suspend the Akita's dry food above a broiling bubba burger. Just the bit of scent would make her INHALE that food in search of the non-existent bits of Bubba Burger!

  6. I LUV that photo. Good luck Flounder; I hope some human assistance comes your way, if your way doesn't work!

  7. Ha! Methinks you were teasing the poor starving canine.
Buddy has filed a grievance on Flounder's behalf with Local 497 of the International Retrievers Union. Expect a visit from a representative very soon.
    tsk, tsk.

And I can't believe your sliders are a year old already!
Good thing they don't breed like rabbits, LOL!

On a side note, I'm back from scalloping and I actually found a great recipe for scallops, despite my lack of enthusiasm for eating them. I'll post it to the site tomorrow.
I did get bit once (newbie mistake), and like you, I think I'd rather just go snorkeling with an underwater camera. :)

Can't wait to see your new site, FC. Good luck with the big move!

  8. Can your dogs bend spoons, as well?

Hope your Tuesday contained a bit more sanity. 8-} Is any of this rain wetting PFHQ?

  10. That is such a great photo. You can see the pleading in his eyes. Please tell me that he at least got a bite??????

  12. Thanks. I just heard myself laughing out loud. I'm sliding the computer over to my hubby who could use a chuckle.

  14. Pseudo,
    Thanks!
    Welcome to Pure Florida!

    POP,
Flounder says he's not the leaper he was in his younger days, hence the telekinetic powers he's developed :)
Hellish is a good descriptor of Tuesday's storm.

    Robin,
He got the whole thing after I tortured him for the sake of photography.

    Sharon,
He also used his thought implanting powers to will me to hand him the bagel.

    Artfulsub,
Clever dog food trick. When I finally catchup from being away, I'll check out the entries.

    Laurao,
Oh it moved all right. Disappeared fast too. :)

    Mo,
Glad you liked it! He's a very loveable, huggable dog.

    Laura,
    Me?
I would never tease a dog ... oh no, not me ;)
The scallops do pinch don't they? When my mesh bag is full ... or borrowed by a snorkeling kid, I stuff them in my baggie pockets. That gets a bit ticklish sometimes.
I'm not really moving the site, just making a page (post) of links, so I can just have that link to the right instead of a long list.

    Sophie,
Tuesday offered up the most intense lightning experience I've ever had.
PF is getting a nice soaking today.

    Hoss,
I didn't photo the chewing, but trust me, he got it.

    Ava,
He's a master of the pleading eye gaze gimmick. I see you fell for it.
    I do all the time.
I hope your weekend is peaceful.

    ThunderD,
The turtles wanted little togas, but I said no.
    Been there done that.

    Cathy,
Mission accomplished. I hope it worked for him.
