Lost Final Post Of The Secret Pond series

This was supposed to be the tail end post of that secret pond post about a month ago ...
... then something ... probably Bear ... happened and I shoved this post back into ...
... the swampy recesses of Pure Florida's waiting to exhale posts, so ...
... you never saw this feather boat left behind by the fleeing ibis flock that ...
... I scared away just before I could push the shutter release, leaving me ...

... alone to reflect on the ones that got away.
Unrelated, but still cool news ... It's my big brother Terry's birthday today!

  5. Happy birthday Terry!

It really wasn't your fault about those Ibis. If I remember right, it was the red (pleasedontshootmeblackpowderhunter)tshirt that you wore.

  7. Pablo,
    Yes, by 6 years!

    3C,
    Thanks on both counts.

    Laura,
A frozen pond would require water ... therein lies the problem!
    :)
Ice on the windshield 3 days now.

    Dani,
Thank you for mentioning that point!

    Lej,
    Appreciate the thought!

  8. Bee,
Not sure at this time, but it was a carpet of green and blue at the marshy edge of the pond.

  9. FC-
Finally we have better weather than you....but of course we had to jaunt over to Japan to find it! Heading back to Beijing at noon today. BTW, do we get the prize for being the longest distanced bloggers? Is that even proper English? Happy B-day to your brother.

  10. ooh pretty. i'm staying out of the wilderness areas (i.e. anywhere that more than 2 trees congregate) right now 'cause i wouldn't want someone to mistake me for bambi, so i'm envious.

  14. The long lost post! It's funny how they resurface, and even more so, how they get bumped in the first place. Life is like that.
