Since you like pigs so much, you should read "The Good Good Pig". A student gave it to me and when I am done, I will pass it on. From one pig lover to the next!
bear was doing the dog-checking-things-out thing. notice he's crouched down with paws out while barking? "i'm friendly but don't mess with me," is the mixed message. she confused him by wandering away, and lovin' on the hand that feeds her. [feeds them both, actually.] bear just doesn't speak pig yet, but he's a smart young fella.
Bear is so big, beautiful and shiny. He's not wasting any time turning into a big dog! Chet Baker does the barking play-bow for any strange animal he meets. Always hoping it might want to play, although his bitey kind of play doesn't sit too well with horses, for one. I like the way the pig seems to decide that he's a goofball and walks over to you for reassurance.
Your pig has quite a saucy set of 'tocks!
I'd suggest looking to word verification for her name. For instance, today's choice is Fulshned.
Re: currently nameless porcine...

ReplyDeletePigmalion? Actually, since the pig's a she it should probably be Pigphos.
ReplyDeletePoor confused Bear. He'll miss her when she leaves.
ReplyDeleteBears initial reaction seemed like he was trying to decide whether to be afraid of the pig or not. That got cleared up quickly enough.
ReplyDeleteGruntle.
ReplyDeleteA sweet, placid pig, so Gruntle, as in the opposite of disgruntle.
