  1. Tec Nu will help too. Gets the oils off your body and out of your clothes. You really should look before you climb...

Never heard of Octagon Soap - does it work?

  6. Mmmm, poison ivy...or oak? and a remedy there for.
But where does the Miller Light come in? Maybe so you don't notice the itch? lol

  7. I hope that this is only hypothetical for you. I've had several feerocious cases of poison ivy and wouldn't wish it on anyone. I've not heard of Colgate Octagon soap before. For this particular problem, I use Fels Naphtha.

Can you believe that my word verification is minorcadn?

  8. I have seen that soap before...I think at Uncle Stu's house.
Zanfel works well, but it's $40 a tube (ouch!)

  9. Sayre,
It claims to do so. By the time I came across this, I had mostly defeated the ivey using a different product.

    Lisa,
    Same answer :)

    Pablo,
Yes, although I prefer Yeungling for my ailments.

    Moresecret,
    Welcome to Pure Florida!!
    Thank you!

    Dani,
I tried that ... LOL! This was one fierce itch!

    3Collie,
I took this picture while having lunch in an Irish Pub in Dahlonega GA. Hence the beer pad!

    Doug,
No unfortunately it was the real spreading thing. Hateful stuff! Cool word verif!

    HT,
I bought this in one of those old timey touristy general stores. My Mom said she used it growing up.
I did most of my battle using a CVS brand ivey scrub and clear Caladryl lotion.

  13. Kathy A,
I confess, I have never heard of Tecnu until the comments on this post. That may be because I've only had ivy twice in half a century of Earth stompin'.
I will check into it tho!

    Robin,
It's done. It was during the summer and took about 2 weeks to defeat.

    Jean,
LOL! Well, my excuse is I was on vacation ...
    Too funny.
