Another view of mullet. Mullet are eaters of algae and detritus. They are an incredibly important fish. Everything from bottlenose dolphin to egrets to flounder feed on them. They run in huge schools along the coast and have supported Floridians since prehistoric times. The mullet is a jumper and will often leave the water for a series of two or three lazy leaps. Posted by Hello
