Flounder practices his intimidating stare with the chicken feed thief raccoon. The raccoon was released shortly after this picture and went up an old oak and into a hollow cavity. If you admire raccoons like Flounder and I do, you should read "Rascal" by Sterling North. It's a great story about a boy and an orphan raccoon.

Flounder looks like my kind of dog--a buddy to walk with and hug. Jim Croce, Mellencamp, The Yearling; wow, you've got good taste! What about Old Yeller? Trouble is, I choke up whenever I watch it. We get raccoons in the city; they hide in our storm sewers, but at night I've often seen them scrounging around underneath my bird feeders.
I can't watch Old Yeller unless I am alone. Men aren't supposed to cry. At least not men from my generation...
