Finally.. someone who knows a "black bird" is actually a grackle. Purple grackle, if I'm not mistaken. I learned that in grade school in Indiana and still attempt to educate the believers of the black bird.
Hi Girlonaglide, Actually, the hardcore birdwatchers (I am more of a bird enjoyer) will point out that there are blackbirds and there are grackles, but they are not the same bird. The "black birds" you see in Target parking lots mooching snacks are usually grackles. They may prefer other stores at times.
