Uh-oh! Does this mean that FC is "in the doghouse"?

Pablo,
No, I was afraid that might be the impression. What the tiny post means is it's one of those busy, crazy weeks and my goal of daily posting is not happening. I shall return...

I just thought it was a valid point.

I suppose one could say that the community of bloggers is something like a love relationship. We must concede that there will be times when our favorite bloggers won't have our daily dose of goodness waiting for us. Give and take. (Also, it IS true of a marriage!) So far, I've maintained my daily posting, but it is making me neurotic. I dream at night about staying up to date with my posts. It causes me occasional worry and fear. What have I done to myself?

Any background on the image? Something a family member created? Dogs from your life?

Pablo,
I was getting a little "possessed" by it and made myself stay away yesterday. Still, I want to keep it fresh...hate to see a blog go stagnant.

The "art" is something I made for my sweetie. The idea came from a painting I saw in a magazine. I stole it and turned it into some simple 3-D art.
The dogs are modeled after my 2 lab/golden cross dogs, Flounder and Feather.

This hangs in our kitchen...just a reminder.

Someone should ask dpr how many times I have said I'm going to give up blogging. I can't take the pressure, and like Pablo it makes me neurotic, and like you, FC, I can't stand the thought of the blog being stagnant. Ah, dpr is supremely cool about it. He never cares. He is never consumed by it. He never has to make himself stay away. He acts like he doesn't even have a blog. Then he'll sit down, bang out something and be done with it.
Zen blogger.
I still like the idea of having something new everyday. Sometimes it's just filler. I know it. But at least it's not yesterday's news. I think I may need a support group!

Wow...I'm glad to see I'm not alone in being blog-obsessed at times! My kids sometimes say "Uh-oh, Mom's blogging again!" That's the difference between private journaling and blogging--the audience. I feel pressured to offer something new, well written, and creative every day. I kinda like it though...keeps me on my toes. I love interacting with the "audience" too.
Nice work, FC...on the art, and the blog.

Wow, I hit a nerve! I was just throwing up a quick picture to avoid total stagnation and the floodgates of blogger angst opened!
I think we all realize it's tough to be your own writer/editor/photographer/
publisher etc.

I confess a shiver of excitement when I pull up one of your blogs and find a new post, but I also realize your blogs are a gift and you can't give all the time. I know I can't...got teenagers to feed ya' know.

My pattern is shorter during the work week and a little more thought as Friday and the weekend approaches.

RD,
He sounds like a very mellow fellow. How does he do that?

DPR,
Okay, I counted and that's more than one word.

Deb,
I hear exactly the same thing..."Oh the Blogaholic is at it again". The kids think they should be able to have computer time for reports and other school work. The nerve!

Thing,
Fishing with Donny is good stuff, but I still love your detailed bug shots. Like you said, we will wait because it's worth it to do so.

Oh, and you guys are doing better than me, because I haven't visited a blog in at least a day. I'm going to try to fix that tonight!

What a great reminder. Mr. farmers wife (or is that the farmers wife's husband??) and I have been married for 27 years, and in order to make it that long you need to do alot give and take.

As to the blogging - I wanted to try for everyday, but sometimes that just doesn't work out, some days I have two postings, some days none...and then of course there are my "Fishing" expeditions. Another one coming up this weekend. I think it is important to attempt discipline in blogging, and I heartily believe in doing something creative everyday, but some days that involved efforts other than photography/writing.

Zanne,
I know what you mean. I think my goal is posting on most days. "Most" is much more flexible than "Every".
Fishing again...envy.
