Decorating Crew Chiefs

Last year, my Mom mentioned that decorating the house had gotten to be more of a challenge then it used to be. I experienced some major son guilt for not realizing that ahead of time ( I don't think of them as 77 years old). We agreed that next year, (this year) we would all pitch in the day after Thanksgiving. After all, we would all be there recovering from the previous days feasting.

So this year, blessed with a gorgeous Florida fall day, we split into teams and knocked it out in no time, to the delight of my mom and dad. It was actually a lot of fun and I was proud of my crew for chipping in with great enthusiasm.

Undecorating a few weeks from now will be less exciting, but for now, "laissez le bon temps roulez".

FC-- What a great idea, and I hope it becomes a family tradition, to hang the Christmas lights at your folk's house the day after Thanksgiving. Your kids are real troopers too. They're quite spectacular.

RD and DPR,
Definitely the new tradition. Thanks for the reinforcement. I agree it sometimes seems strange, adapting a celtic/christian holiday into the sunny subtropics. Love it though.
