Introducing Mia Hamm and Name To Be Determined

This is "Mia Hamm", (in front) the Hamp cross show pig and her partner...um, well for now, "Name To Be Determined". The problem with "NTBD" is this. She is Jr.'s fair pig and he has chosen a name based on a certain country music song, ..."Budonkadonk". Spelling is a point of pride for me, so I googled this term to check for correctness.

Hmmmmm....

Let's just say I came up with some interesting search results that have caused me to reconsider his naming request. I'm not a prude or an idiot. I knew that song was about a girl's derriere, I just want to be sure we are appropriate for a country fair. Certainly this song will be drifting through the fair grounds at some point as the fair kids care and groom their animals. You could also make the case for it by listening to the swine judge giving commentary as the kids parade around the ring, showing the pigs they have nurtured for 3 months.

" Now, that spotted one has good muscle tone and a fine butt"

" The butt on this duroc is a little small, really should have more pronounced curvature."

So, the jury is still out on little NTBD.

Maybe I can talk Jr. into a shortened version or something new.

As Dad, I will have final say.

Surely not "Ham on the Hoof"???

"Francis Bacon"??

"Tickled Pig's Feet"??

(Just trying to be helpful. I'm here via Vicki Bennett.)

Oldhorse,
Good possibilities all. Thanks for visiting.

If it is a callipygian piglet, then it deserves a name that celebrates that fact ;)
Oh, and if you google something as innocent as the term "friends," you might well be surprised by some of the results you get...

Swamp,
Maybe "Callippy" would be a good name.

Whatever- as Charlotte would note: that's "some pig."
I like pigs-especially when they are very small and then again when they are just plopped down too-big-to-get-up sows at the fair. I think they are feminists, too. So don't go with the derriere nom de plume.

Vicki,
I think he's leaning towards some other name...the jury's still out.
