FC-- I don't think I ever told you this, but when I first started to read Pure Florida you had posted a photo of Emma, and I saw that smile, and thought to myself, Floridacracker sure has raised some ebulliently happy children. It's what made me bookmark your site. I wondered, How do they do that, raise such happy kids? It's love.
Thanks to all, she just read your comments with me and was very happy. We went out to Olive Garden, stuffed ourselves on pasta, salad, and breadsticks, and then came home for a stuffing of pound cake sliced thick. Whew! Thanks again for your kind comments.
Happy belated birthday to Emma. I also have an Emma, she turned 21 two months ago. I agree with macbean gene; those of us lucky enough to have daughters (& sons)raised around the Florida waters have the most beautiful & delightful kids.
Oh, oh .... I forgot to mention - I see from the pictures that you like to go scalloping. A couple of years ago I took a picture of my Emma that is strangely similar to the posted picture of your Emma. We take our boat out at St. Mark's and usually catch the limit. The season begins July 1st. Can't wait. Nothing like a fresh scallop dinner!

RD,
I remember, the beach shot. :)
Happy Birthday Emma! Sorry, I'm a bit late!
There's something about that Florida water that causes us parents to have the most beautiful daughters. Happy Birthday to Emma.
Emma-
I was sick yesterday so I didn't get to wish you a happy birthday. I hope it was a great one!
