Well, I Guess I Had My 15 Minutes Of Fame

UPDATE: THANKS TO THE DHARMABUMS, I HAVE RECOVERED THE MISSING POST AND IT IS BACK UP. WHEW! NOT ONLY IS IT BACK, BUT I AM SMARTER THAN I WAS YESTERDAY AT THIS TIME. IT'S A MIRACLE...THE SMARTER THING I MEAN.

ANYWAY, THERE'S TWO WACKY HIPPIES IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST THAT I AM APPLAUDING RIGHT NOW.

Weirdness...

The "Real Men" post that Hoss so kindly spread the word about is missing, ...I know.

I apparently fatally wounded it when I attempted to put in a little bit of code last night. I'm afraid it's gone forever since I can't seem to recover it.

While it's disheartening, the post was about time passing and like a digital post that vanishes, time can't be recovered either.

Spend it well.

A form of temporary art? Like sand paintings, in a strong wind they're gone.

I was just thinking about a concept of a "poof" blog. The daily post disappears at midnight, the writing or photography only temporary, if you don't catch it within the 24 hrs. it's gone. No archives either.

Why am I thinking about such stuff you ask? I've noticed in the "world-o-amateur-photographers" that these people are inordinately attached to their images. Some have more back ups and security measures than NASA.

I'm sorry I missed the "real man" entry. It was fab I'm sure.

FC-- Here's how you can get it back:
Go to this cached google file. It's there. You can also do a "view source" on the cached pages and copy it.

To The Pirate And His Lady,
Thankyou, thankyou! I can't go there from work due to our big brother style "Cyber Filter" program, but you can bet I'll get there after school this evening.
Bless you two!

I guess I showed my techno-ignorance huh?

Well, thank goodness for those two! I can't believe you would lose that post. Yeesh. (This from the woman who lives dangerously and has never backed up a single word or photo. I figure computers are like glorified Franklin planners and when they get full you get another one and file the old one in a box. That's how it works, right?)
I'm glad you can access it. Didn't someone in the comments on that one suggesst that you print it out and stick it in her baby book? Hmmm.

Hey- I have a whole bunch of Florida Cracker pictures up today!

FC-- I made a copy of it just in case anything happens to it. If you need it, let me know.

Hey, I would not have known how to find that cached version if it hadn't been for the advice we received on our post about Lene's blog Leaning Birch, after it had been taken over by a weight-loss hooligan. I learned a lot about Google and caches. Share the knowledge, that's what I say! Glade we could help. It was a beautiful post.

I missed it :-/ I did get to spend yesterday looking at Clyde Butcher photos all day. That was fun.

That's too bad. But there will be other occasions to spread the love...

I checked out that "other" temporary blog you have running for the senior photos. You have a beautiful family. Lucky man, lucky man. You sweet sap.

Yep, I remember that post. And now that I think of it, I remember noticing that it went away.
