This Canopy Is Empty, So....

Posting from Pure Florida may be sporadic this weekend. We have a big family gathering going on. My Inlaws (the outlaws are on my side of the family) are gathering at Fanning Springs State Park. We've rented all their newly built cabins and are eating, playing in the springs, eating, boating on the Suwannee River, and eating.

The schedule is fun and busy, so I haven't hit the many blogs I like to visit on a regular basis. Bear with me. Posted by Picasa

Aye Captain! It's really cool and relaxing under this blue canopy, so I'll just curl up on the boat (no snakes, right?) and wait for your return. You will be bringing some leftovers back for us, right?

Have a good time. It's summer. Time for boating and swimming. We'll be here when you get back.

I have stayed at many of the Florida State Parks and I really enjoy them. Some of my favorties are Little Manatee River, Rainbow Springs, O'leno & Paynes Praire. I have also camped at the new Alafia River, nice bike trails there. I have heard that Silver Springs is new, and I want to try to get up there soon. I enjoy your blog, it is very informative and interesting.

RED IS BEST!! Glad to see that someone else realizes this as well ;)

Have fun! Eat lots! Have an extra slice of cake and blame it on me... Lord knows I'm not getting enough of it lately!

Fanning Spring looks like a fun spot for a family reunion. Have fun, and bring back lots of fine stories and photos.

Sounds fun. The Suwannee is one of the most beautiful rivers I've ever seen, but I've never seen what it's like around Fanning Springs. Probably still very nice. I hope you enjoy your trip...and I expect some pictures!

Did you get enough to eat?
Your post sounds like my family. I frequently host family gatherings that I call "Food Fests". We always have fun.

Debbie,
Oh yeah, plenty! I was pretty good and was able to resist overdoing it.

Mrs. S,
Mud pie ALWAYS works!
