This post doesn't go with today's picture but your pond scum one from a couple of day's ago. I found this quote looking for something else this morning and thought you would appreciate it.
For four-fifths of our history, our planet was populated by pond scum. J.W. Schopf
How cute. Did Ranger jump in there on his own, just to hang out with Kate? He certainly has that look-- the one that says, "I don't have anything in my mouth."
Cathy S, Well, I'm sure there's pond scum somewhere in this family tree :)
Robin, I think he oozed in there somehow. I can't picture him jumping in and not smashing little Katie. He used to hang out in a bird bath we had so he was good at oozing over obstacles.
Alan, Could be, but he doesn't seem to be falling for it!
MoMadness, Tornado watch here this evening. Glad you liked the pic.

So, what you're saying is dogs don't suck the life breath out of babies the way cats do; they just steal their stuffies?
I'm proficient in ASL and that's NOT what that sign means...

I am NOT referring to those pictured here!

That's plainly a gun-finger the child is pointing. "Give me back my toy, dog, or else!"
.....Alan {laughing}
Aww--coming out of my weather funk for only a second to say how adorable. You know I love the kids and animals pics!!
I knew you raised your kids with dogs...but I didn't know you meant that literally... :)
Vicki,
No stuffed animal was safe from that boy.

Mel,
Oh yeah ... literally.
Who misbehaved? Or did they both?
Loved your *lesson* on bubonic plague - you sound like a really cool teacher.
Laurahinnj,
Well, they both were pretty mischievious as pups :)
Thanks!
