What great photos, FC! I first got excited about palm hammocks in some of Winslow Homer's great paintings. He used to come to Homosassa to fish and to paint. We have 11 prints of his Florida paintings in the Florida Room at Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park where I volunteer. By the way if you haven't visited HSWSP, give it a try. you won't be disappointed. Barb
FC- I don't "see" a manatee but it sure looks like Manatee Springs to me! Your pics make me homesick for our new home!!! Can I really be homesick for a place I've never lived before? But will be soon? Lightnin

Once again I have been 'lurking'...however, your pictures of this beautiful place we live are wonderful!!! Is that a manatee I see in the header????

Happy (late) Mute Monday. That's a sign of Dixie, alright.
Danielle,
It was just a scenic shot. Any manatees are icing on the cake.
Thanks!
Barb,
I love Homosassa Springs. I visited again last year and enjoyed it.
3C,
This Spanish Moss is how I know I'm home after a trip north.
Lightning,
Looking forward to that day too!
Troll,
Late? But shouldn't Mute Monday be on a Monday?
That's home :)
Sharon,
Yes.
Very nice! Happy MM!
Kate,
Thanks! Welcome to Pure Florida!
