Short post this morning, 'cause I'm running a bit behind schedule.
(Who knew the cell phone alarm feature shuts off after 10 or 15 snooze hits?)
Here's the business end of the passionflower vine.
Just look how busy it is.
If these busy little pollinators do their job right ...
... we get this.
This one is not ripe yet. Later the passion fruit will be kind of a mellow yellow.
To me, these native ones are fairly tasteless ... like Tofu or Cottage Cheese.
Passion fruit does have a pretty amazing flower though ...
... and speaking of passion ...
Happy 25th Anniversary to Laura and Rick at VitaminSea !

Happy Anniversary!!!
Looks like that pond of yours might be getting some water after all! After seeing that picture I'm crossing my fingers for you - a pond isn't really a pond without water LOL
Oh my goodness!!
I wasn't expecting that! Thank you very much! :)
FC-
Please pass on our congrats to VitaminSea also! We have one more month to reach that milestone!
Lightnin
You need one of those alarms that rolls off the table and runs away...or wait a minute! Don't you folks have roosters?
What a nice little post. I miss my passion flower growing up the phone line in Florida. And I'm sorry you didn't get your BIG WEATHER. ;-)
Off to wish VitaminSea happy anniversary.
Dani,
I believe last year they went target shooting for their anniversary.
SCMomma,
Hope springs eternal. Afraid to comment as I might jinx the storm.
Laura,
Well, it feels like I knows ya, and our families have so many similar events.
Hope it was a happy day!
Lightnin,
Wow! I didn't realize that.
How can you stand it??
;)
3C,
My roosters crow so often ... they just aren't reliable.
Vicki,
I might still!!
I LOVE Passionflower! :) One of my favorite subjects to photograph. Happy Anniversary to them.
Thanks everyone! The time does go by quickly. Lighting, congrats to you and hubby, also!
FC, I hope your Mom and Dad are ok and safe from all this flooding from from Fay. She's taking her sweet time leaving the state, that's for sure.
Oh, and cottage cheese is great with pineapple. Or, as I've been having it lately, with blueberries on top!
The passion fruit here is a bit different, small and slightly sweet.
Vitaminsea - Congrats to you guy's and thanks!
Sharon,
Pretty striking plant, isn't it?
Laura,
Hope it was a nice day for y'all.
Thunder,
Save the seeds.
