I have 4 dog(well 1 is mine 1 is my daoughters and 2 are my sons) and you don't even have to rattle a dish, just say "you want to eat?" and they come a running. Bear's expression looks like "I want some pleaseeee" lol
SCMomma, He is loaded with personality, most definitely.
Dani, Gee, Labs come in a wide variety, but I see 100 pounds as possible. We are being pretty good at not spoiling or fattening him with high calorie human treats.
Lej, Wow, you must be doggone busy with 4. Bear is always ready to eat too.
Jen, THEY aren't looking very closely are they? Dogs have such expressive faces.
"In your dish" will rouse Jack Sparrow from deep, snoring sleep on second floor of the house if uttered slightly above a whisper in the kitchen on the first floor. He is a man who looks after his stomach, typical schnauzer. He fancies himself as dishwasher prewash cycle if he can sneak by the kitchen help. Bear has those universal starving dog eyes, doesn't he! Caroline in SD.
What a great face! Sort of innocently intense. I'm afraid I'd be a complete push-over if he flashed an expression like that at me. Eventually, we'd need a crane to get him up the stairs. :)
Caroline, LOL! If you are a schnauzer fan, you will love the Bear/Captain video that I will eventually get loaded up to Youtube. Coming soon to a Pure Florida near you!
Kimberlee, I am the same way. It's an act of supreme self discipline not to spoil him rotten with treats.
Miz S, THAT is an excellent question and one I need to ask the vet.
LOL, what a face! Labs are notorious for their appetites, that's for sure. I was thinking about lil Gumbo the other day, can you believe it? That's what's so wonderful about the blogs, I'd be thinking about a little guy that I never got to meet, and yet he left such an impression on me.
Laura, He's got the face thang going on for sure. Understand the tears, there is a certain look Bear gives me from the kitchen floor that is soooo Gumbo. It gets me every time ... still.

Max also has a stair stare. But his is more like "you mean I have to climb these?" He's an older gent now, and the joints aren't what they used to be.
That Bear is just too cute! You can tell that he has a lot of personality by just looking at him. He needs to be on an Alpo bag or something.
He's growing up quick! How much do they weigh as an adult dog?

What a great picture. You really captured the hope and longing. And they say animals don't have expressions...
Wow. Bear is one BIG puppy!
Pablo,
Flounder and Feather dread them too.

He's a big, healthy boy, no doubt about it. Does the vet have an estimate for his full-grown size?
Ericka,
Will do. Will that be one hug or two?

Hugs to Bear, I'm tearing up!

80 pounds! I am staggered.
Great photo!
3C,
All muscle too ... and sweetness.
I miss Gumbo, too.
Cathy S,
Ditto. I go out and mow the grass when I think too much about him. It's noisy, alone and I wear my dark shades.
No one can tell.
