Porki Update
The FFA show pig is doing fine ... just in case you were wondering. She and Bear are pals who greet each other nose to snout each day. He has accepted her as that odd dog who is not allowed in the house.
I haven't weighed her yet, but she seems to be filling out nicely.
I think this one has the neatest face markings of any we have had.
Still no official name, which may be just as well considering she's just visiting until the fair in March.
She is the next to the last pig, as Junior will be a senior next year.
Where did THAT time go?

You ain't seen nothin' yet!! Next time you come this way, check out the Eagles nest on Moultrie Creek. It's a long shot but if the light is good it's doable.
Wow, piggy got huge.
What do you do with the "Ms Piggies"?Do I want to to know?
If it has to do with a smoker I might be ok with that......
It is nice to see them getting along, Bear is such a cute dog.
Hi FC,
Great looking pig. She is getting big. Call her Nome, Short for No Name. Or Non. Short for No official name. I'll stop now.
Hope you have a great weekend.
Patti

That's a tough one!
Some pig!
Hey FC
That is one nice and by nice I mean delicious looking pig.
I've unleashed the annual meme for your top 10 nature moments of last year here:
http://tai-haku.blogspot.com/2008/12/top-10-nature-moments-of-2008.html
and I'd be honoured if you'd participate!
Tai
She is quite the cutie! Do they notch the ears on the side or is that the normal shape?
Tsiya,
Will do. It's been a long time since I canoed Moultrie.
Jean,
She has. I thought that too when I looked at the photo.
Chris and Jon,
She goes to compete in the Suwannee River Livestock Fair in March. If you search this blog for pig or fair you can find past tales that explain it.
Margaret,
He is but he is a rascal!
Patti,
Don't stop, those were great!
3C,
Maybe we should call her SP for short!
Tai,
I will check it out, even tho I usually avoid meme's (just a time factor) ... yours sounds interesting.
It's not just the markings on her face, her eyes are so bright and...oooh...human looking! eeeeh!
Oh, btw, that turkey gravy/ sandwich mix looked soooo yummy! Gawd, it made me so hungry.
Dani,
That notching is some pig farmer thing. I will ask Chad the pig farmer the specifics next time we meet.
Annie,
I know, I know. She's way too cute to eat!
I love her "name". Where did you get it?
Gal named Cindy suggested it, I figured since she had no real name, what the heck!
