This mallow is a native. I bought it at a nursery and thought I had killed it by neglecting to transplant and care for it last year, but it resprouted this spring so I planted it by my little amphibian refuge ponds and it seems to be happy there.
Oh, how I covet your lovely Mallow! I went screaming down to the bigbox store after you posted (was it last year?)about finding your mallow ,only to find that my store does not carry such objects of plantly desire. Happy to see that yours is still going strong!

I like native plants. They fit well with my Darwinian approach to gardening.
These are lovely - I don't know that I've seen them up close previously.
