Lunchbreak Diamante Poem Cardinal Flower vs Cardinal

Cardinal Flower
Crimson, Wet
Standing, Emergent. Reaching
Flower, Spike, Singer, Flier
Flitting, Crunching, Flashing
Red, Feathered
Cardinal
I like to use Diamante poems for comparison contrast in my science class.
They always compare two different things and always follow this pattern:
Noun
2 Adjectives about that noun.
3 participles about that noun
4 nouns, first 2 are about the top noun, second 2 are about the bottom noun.
3 participles about the bottom noun.
2 adjectives about the bottom noun.
Noun
Give it a try and show off in the comment section.
(These are not limericks so keep it clean, you rascals!)

Dave,
I thought in Kansas it was the word Evolution that was unpronounceable.

Lightnin,
It's a curse.

I'm going to have to give this some thought, FC. I like the challenge.

No! Close the poetry contest NOW! I do not want to go up against Robin.

GAH!!! I can't think of anything right now. Been spending the morning cleaning the carpet to get rid of the poodle puppy gifts.

I'm not sure I followed the directions correctly. It's been a long time since I've been in the 7th grade! Interesting exercise.

Miz S made me laugh out loud. I always appreciate that!

Winners:

Well all of them of course!
You think I could pick one of those over the other?

Loved Miz S's Florida words!

Loved Emma's comparison of our Bear dog to the real thing. Shameless nepotism, but the poem stands alone.

Loved Robin's insight to the subtle beauty of changing light conditions.

Loved D Harper's capture of the wonderful anhinga (all so true!) and the shy bobcat.

Super job poets.

Thanks so much for playing along.
