Dolphin Up A Creek

I was out on the Gulf of Florida last night fishing with my pal Denny. Our goal was to fish for redfish in the last hours of daylight and then do a little gigging.

We didn't come home all fishy smelling if you get my drift, but we did have a most excellent trip.
More on that Monday.

In the meantime, enjoy this brief dolphin encounter.

redfishing and dolphins? you really do know how to make me jealous FC! With every day of cold rain down here I see a trip back to Florida edge closer on the horizon.

BTW stuck a little seed parcel in the post to you early last week; let me know if it gets to you ok.

What is "gigging"? Is that male talk for giggling like a girl?

Dolphin watching is something that I would love to be doing ;)

Tai,
Well, there were more dolphins than redfish, but it was still lots of fun. I will check the post tomorrow!

Jean,
A gig is a fish spear. We had hoped to gig a few sheepshead fish for the table.
Alas, the wind whipped waves cancelled that part of the adventure.

Lisa,
I never get tired of seeing them.

It always makes my day when I see them out playing in the water.

Nice to see that dolphin. I remember it being pretty hard to anticipate where they're going to come up.
