    My first thought was the close up of some kind of mushroom. I can see that it's curved and so close that it must be something small. What the HECK is it?!!! I'll be back at 1800 hours. Have a beauty of a day.

    Looks like some kind of seaweed (?) washed up on the beach. I've seen stuff like that - but not that color!
