HOME SWEET HOME!

Home sweet home! We just returned home from a trip "up nawth" to Blue Ridge, Georgia. It wasn't a "hurricane bugout", just a previously planned family trip that coincided with Tropical Storm Cindy and Hurricane Dennis. As it turned out, we passed through Cindy's southern edge as we drove north to Georgia and we drove through Dennis's gusty rainbands as we drove home. In between, we had some nice weather, went tubing on the Toccoa River, and visited family.
Tonight, we arrived home at 11 pm under a cloudless starry sky and a beautiful moon. I can't wait to do my storm damage assessment tomorrow. In the dark, it looks like all we lost were a few branches.

Welcome home and I hope there is not too much damage. When I was an insurance adjuster many moons ago I was sent to Pascagoula, MS after a hurricane went thru the region. (I think it was Frederick.) Anyway, it devastated that little town, but I loved visiting the south...got to spend a day in St. Petersburg...great food.

Hick,
I think Frederic was '79. I remember returning to Pensacola for the fall semester and seeing pecan groves completely knocked over.
Thingfish,
Thanks, I had my rivers mixed up, but have since repaired the post.
