Yep, I'm pretty sure those are the eggs/larvae/younglings of some flying insect. Wasps will do this kind of thing. No doubt midges if Swamp4me sez so. Probably not a bad thing, but I'm no authority.
Thank you all. I thought it was insect or fungi problems, but I had not seen this before. It was a wild grape, not one of my domesticated muscadines. Again, thank you for the help.

Are those things alive, or is it some sort of growth? And I thought I only had deer and rabbits and aphids to worry about.
Those look like the galls caused by a little midge.
