This is the Suwannee River near Manatee Springs State Park. The River is up now and flowing fast. This photo was taken from a small county boat ramp that is almost completely submerged due to high water. Posted by Picasa

Some friends and I did a nice canoe trip from White Springs to Branford. The springs in Live Oak were a high point, and became a regular camping spot throughout my "higher" education in Tallahassee.

The sinkholes around Tallahasse were great, too. We weren't supposed to swim in them, but we did anyways. One of them was crystal clear at certain times of the year, very tannic at other times of the year.

Of course, there was a rope swing.

Thanks Pablo, it's a beautiful river on a beautiful day...makes it easy for the photographer.

Thingfish, there was a rope swing just to the right of this picture...actually about 3 of 'em hanging from a tree with a "Unlawful to attach ropes to trees" sign.
