Doesn't it seem once we get to Halloween, it's one continuous blending of the holiday seasons without clear breaks between?
I think Emma is handling this quite well...better than me. This is her latest creation.
I'd write more this morning, but I have to go get the Easter baskets down out of the attic...

Wait a minute! WAIT A MINUTE! What's this all about? You mean to say you have attics in Florida?
Emma is very creative and smart. She definitely captured the blending in a funny and artistic way. FC, you've got very cool kids.
Pablo,
I just never know what your focus will be on another blogger's post. You keep me guessing...hmmm what tiny detail in the background will Pablo discover on this post?
Yes Virginia (akaPablo), there is an attic. In FL, we can have attics,it's basements that are nonexistent unless you are in the highlands of the central ridge or the panhandle. Mostly it's too wet for basements.
RD,
Thanks. She is our artist. I wish she'd let me post a few of her sketches.
Your daughter obviously has your sense of humor...
Makes me wonder what Pablo's kids are like. I bet they sit around and laugh all the live long day. Like my house...or not.
I still have gourds that are in good shape, but pumpkins are long gone.
Hick.
This pumpkin must have sat in the store for a while before I bought it. A few days after it's creation it was gone...like that Cristo moron's work...only Emma's was actually creative.
Hey, I kind of like Cristo's art. He covered a bunch of Kansas City sidewalks with gold foil once.
Plamble,
Ooooooh! Foil on a sidewalk...maybe I should rethink my opinion of Christo...no, wait..he's still a no-talent opportunist, but a master at self-promotion.
Vive le differance.
You big city guys crack me up!
Now I know what to get you for Hallothankstmas. I was wondering what would be perfect.
Pablo,
I am doomed.
Hold on, there. You forgot Valentine's Day, President's Day, St. Patrick's Day, April Fool's Day.
Plus, State of Oregon's birthday is also Feb. 14, so I'm sure you'll want to dress up for that.
Oldhorse,
...now where did I put my Celebrate Oregon costume?
Brilliant! Now I know what to do with all the pumpkins that we never got around to carving...
One of our neighbors has put up all kinds of Christmas decorations around their trailer, but left a ghost made out of a pillowcase hanging in the tree. The girls say it's the Ghost of Halloween Past.
rm,
We didn't take down last years Christmas rope lights (from the porch) until Thanksgiving this year. They were white and made the porch so pretty, we just kept 'em.
(It's not like anyone else can see them anyway)
