"...a bowl of surrounding high ground." Now, just where in Florida, is the "high ground". Isn't the highest point in Florida something like 213 feet? I mean, just a few 12-foot alligators high?

It's all relative. To us, a sand dune 30 feet above sea level is a "hill" that might require oxygen to reach the summit. Our high point is 345 foot Britton Hill in the panhandle.
