There's a zillion birds singing outside on this blue sky morning. It's a lovely 48 degrees F, and humidity is still vacationing somewhere else along with mosquitoes and gnats.

Can't waste this window.

Gotta carpe diem... Posted by Picasa

Hmm, I recognize the maple seeds (LR) and (UL) looks like some kind of Ericaceae - blueberries or sparkleberries? Emerging leaves (UR) - not sure. Yellow flowers on shrub (LR), something we don't have I suspect. Looks like could be a hypericum - rose family? Cinquefoil?

It's not so warm here but it will be. CYA!

Absolutely wonderful! Seize the day.

It's freezing, freezing here in Illinois. I was going to "nest" here inside, but even though the temp is bone chilling I'm going to take your lead and get out. Thanks for the inspiration!

Glad to see that you could leave a new post -- that you're back in business.

Wayne,
UL = domesticated blueberry...variety unknown, probably Climax or Becky Blue.

UR = bald cypress leafing out.

LL = Carolina jessamine

LR = red maple

Zanne,
Brrrr, dress warm!

Pablo,
Thanks...still some weirdness, but I do seem to be back.

Mac,
Enjoy! Springtime in the mountains.

Sounds like a lovely diem to carpe! Enjoy it, and I'm glad the blogf-ery seems to be over.

Glad to see you're back up and running again.
48' up there? whoa. upper 70's here. Have you ever seen the bald cypress along the shores of Lake Santa Fe, or any of the lakes near melrose? I always loved the knobby stumps and the bark on the trees.
We planted several of them along the shore on our little lake property when we lived out that way. I haven't been out there in years and hope they're still growing strong.
Enjoy your weekend, spring doesn't last long in Florid! :(

Sounds like a great day to skip blogging. There are and will be days like that for me, too. Those days besides reinvigorating me sometimes or even usually provide me with more material for my blog.

Deb,
It seems to be over, except for some weirdness with Picasa. Gotta love the price tho.

Laura,
Yes, I've seen that lakeshore. Great trees. That 48 degrees was in the morning, warmed into the 70's here too.

Kevin,
Any day the Gators win is a good day for her. I pretty much hide when they lose.

RD,
It was a great day. Spent it with Thunder and Lightning of the same blog name. Thunder is my old college roomie and they were in town to visit. We had a great time. He took more shots than me, so I think they are going to show up on his blog this week.

Tim,
Exactly. You got to get out there to find those new experiences to share.
