Above, a new crop of cousins learns the ropes of Chasco boat parade bead recovery. Later one of them got a rake and salvaged beads that had sunk near the dock..."Adapt and overcome".
Next year, they'll all bring rakes.

It's proboaly just the camera and light but those legs appear odd- as in one tan, one not, one tan, one not...Ah well, I'm sticking with yesterday's assessment that this event looks like way too much fun for everyone.
that's vicki and probably. I want my apple back!
I'm obviously late to this party. Unlike my home computer, I seem to be able to visit your more current posts from my office computer.
Looks like fun was had by all. Hope you get that owl float back again next year.
What fun. The floats look great. and the kids look like they are all enjoying themselves.
Hope next year is as good for you.
Pretty funny! We were able to attend the Ft. Lauderdale Christmas boat parade one year. It was pretty fun too, with all of the yahts decked out in Christmas lights.
oops, I mean yachts! (tried to go a little too fast with the keyboard)
Or gaffhooks.
I'm assuming that it was probably too cold to go into the water after those beads.
As usual, parade watchers are as interesting as the parade! :)
Sounds like it was a fun day.
Sounds like a new species in the making...Rakingus cousinus...
I guess I'll leave the science stuff up to you.
Heh.
I'm quite late to the party. I have a cousin in New Port Richey. I'll have to ask about this. Looks like a lot of fun!
