Not that it's likely with a moderate 'cane like Ernesto, but it's important to enjoy a little comfort food before the storm knocks out your power and you're eating Tang and Granola bars for a week.
This is the "Shortcut Cinnamon Rolls " recipe from the current issue of Southern Living magazine. Mrs. FC made them Sunday morning.
Oh my.
Oh my,my, my.

oooooooooooo...good stuff, good stuff. Once again, I wish I lived in the FC household. And I am very disappointed in Ernesto...He'll miss you completely and probably only give me some rain *pout* I'll just go cry in my emo corner.
Oh, rats. My belly already is beyond the pale. Got any grits?
Ohhhhh that looks good! I'll look for the recipe in this month's edition. Looks like Ernesto isn't going to bother us at all. Ever get the feeling with each hurricane that all we do is hurry up and wait....for nothing? I'll bet your wife is relieved, however. ;)
Oh yum. You definitely know how to celebrate, oh I mean prepare for, a hurricane.
Yet another reason why I wish we had hurricanes in the Ozarks. (Actually, there have been a few big ones that pushed up from the gulf and rained on Missouri, but I suppose they're not hurricanes by then.)
I agree with Pablo, any excuse to eat that good!
How come I am either turned off food or left drooling almost every time I come to your site? What is UP with that?
HurricaneTeen,
I don't know ...at 4:11pm it looks like a more western track than it did this morn. Don't lose hope!
Hoss,
We always have grits. Are you kidding?
Laura,
It was great. She left the apricots out and made it as straight cinnimon roll. I think it would be good either way.
bethw,
Maybe ... I went to your excellent site. Again thanks for the link.
Robin,
I think celebrate is the right word ;)
Pablo,
I suppose you have the same kind of comfort food in blizzards and hail storms. Like we need an excuse to eat cinnamon rolls and coffee.
ThunderD,
We must eat while the eating is good. We had a white chili here the other night that you would love ...with a hand crafted brew.
Mrs. S,
Um...could it be because you're PREGNANT!
:)
...no way it's the combination of good food and creepy critters you get here at PF.
You're right, couldn't possibly be your weird blog topics or their random fluctuations :P
I wanted to get this recipe, and I've looked all over the Southern Living Magazine website's recipe section and I can't find them! At least, they're not listed as "shortcut" anything. Argh!
I don't suppose you could point them out to me, or send me the recipe? I'd be forever grateful!
Mrs. S,
Give me a day or two and I'll see if I can find time to post it here at PF for you.
Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!
