But ....?

Doesn't it seem like, if your business plan was this good ... that is, if you could afford to pay your apprentice $8000 to $16,000 a month, that you could afford a decent sign? Posted by Picasa

I agree! Like they say: "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is"!

Hey man I tried to get caught up this morning, but I've lagged too far behind this trip so it's going to take a few days.

But didja call the number?

The next get rich quick scheme. Guess what? I can drive a mile from here and take a photo of an identical hand written sign - same message, same phone number, and I'm what???...1,000 miles from you.

How funny Zanne... that busy little RE person hit my town, too. Sounds like the apprentices are paying for travel expenses.

Heh. Wonder if leeches are included in the medical benefits?

I heard a commercial on Air-America yesterday and the tagline was something like, "I made $10,000 last month in my pajamas." She must be the real estate apprentice wearing those pajamas.

that 8 to 16 k/mo is what the apprentice PAYS to learn the game from the "real estate investor". then the apprentice can go out and get his own apprentice. ad nauseum. etcetera. and so forth.

i'm gonna double down and go for two apprentices.

Young man, will you kindly stop reporting on my money making schemes. I'm justa trying to make a buck or two like all the other developers.

~Off to Walgreens for more poster board! ;)

That's almost as good as all the "YOU CAN MAKE THOUSANDS EACH MONTH!!!" ads that you see advertised ONLY in the "free to advertise" sections or on craigslist and so on.

*shakes head sadly* Fools.

I thought the exact same thing when I saw those signs recently.

(Howdy from a long time reader- and a local girl- I enjoy your blog immensely and finally decided to comment!)

Heh! I wonder how many people fall for that and call the number and actually think they are going to make that kind of money...

Uh...excuse me, I have to make a phone call...

Hick (Well tarnation...I have to use "any mouse" because I'm on my husband's high speed computer and it doesn't recognize me as Hick.)

ThunderD,
I'll stop by.

Pablo,
Oh no. I have Twig Forest.

Zanne,
Great to hear from you. That is amazing... who bites on such a absurd claim?

Juli,
They're busy little scammers!

Wayne,
I think there's definitely a leech in this deal.

Robin,
I believe in Nevada it's legal to make $10,000 in you pajamas.

roger,
double your profit, double your fun.

Flauradays,
Don't forget to pickup more Sharpie markers!

Mrs. S,
Shaking head here too.

The Gatorgal,
Hey Welcome! Thanks for commenting and I'm glad you enjoy your visits here.

Hick,
I thought computers were smart. I recognized you instantly.

Heck, even the "work from home" signs are nicer.

(off to go call that number...yeah right!)

Deb,
If the line is busy, I won't talk long ...

Hey! At least I spelled everything correctly.

Maybe the guy needed an apprentice today, right now and didn't have time to make a good sign.

Floridacracker said...

Likes2mtnbike,
Yes, you get an A for spelling. Looks like that Hooked On Phonics course paid off! ;)

Sandy,
You're too nice :)

That sign is obviously bait - from an angler "fishing" for suckers.

Floridacracker said...

Hal,
Apparently a nationwide net.

Cin,
Come on ... you know you called. Teachers need extra income like that!
