60 Second Poetry

I can think of things worse

than wearing loinclothes of furs

while hiding from giant iguanas

in a dark cave with Loana.
There ya go, a poem produced in 60 seconds on a crazy hectic morning. I forgot to wake Junior up extra early for an FFA school trip so we've been dashing around like crazy, yet still I sat down here for a short blog.
Feel free to continue my 60 second masterpiece or write your own ... be nice.
(Nerds, I know it's anole in the pic, but the movie used iguanas. That's called poetic license.)
If this post shows up twice, forgive me, but Blooooger dropped the first one and I did a quick retype.
Have a great Thursday ... it is Thursday isn't it?

It's Thursday here, but I've heard Florida's in its own private time zone. :)

The hawk swooped and grabbed a lizard
Took it up to the roof of the house
I watched it pull out its innards
And wished it had been a mouse.

Thursday here on the central coast.

Hey, one can't do better than Raquel Welch AND iguanas!

Well done!
Oh and thanks for letting me know it was Thursday, I was afraid I still had another day of symposium to go! ;-)

...at least there are no pyrannahs

and I have an ice-cold Corona.

So, my thirst I can quelch here in the cave with Raquel Welch.

Note: I selected Corona because it sorta rhymes with Loana. I wouldn't REALLY drink that stuff. With or without the lime.

Wren,
It's true. Parts of Florida are in the Central American time zone :)

Dani,
It's her smile, isn't it?

3C,
Thanks, I like the giant lizard perspective. It's just a crack in a piece of firewood.

Robin,
So mice have offended you in some way :)
Cool poetry. snap,snap,snap, snap ...

Mockinbird,
I was just thinking I need to Netflix this movie. My son doesn't even know who RW is.

Dave,
Symposium free Thursday we like to call it.

Artful,
You make great use of your poetic license ... quelch...heehee.
Corona does have great commercials though.

Kathy A,
She can sling poetry. I've enjoyed hers for some time now.
