Look at this way - 10 years before you have to face this psychic trauma again.

Nice vultures, by the way.

And of course, happy whatever ....

Happy birthday, old man! I'm right behind you with less than a month 'til I get nifty.

Apparently, 1958 was an awesome year -- oh wait, maybe 57 was the awesome year and we're the result ;)

Happy birthday, FC.
Fifty isn't so bad (it isn't so good either, but as the boss always says, having a birthday is better than the alternative).
Hope it is a great day anyhow....

Happy birthday!!!

I'd throw in some bratty choruses but I like living, and while you may not be close enough to get to me, my momma is. And she would probably sic the dogs on me for you!

Hope you have a wonderful birthday. Are they going to make you a fancy cake?

Signs of old age:

You can live without sex but not without glasses.

Your back goes out more than you do.

You quit trying to hold your stomach in, no matter who walks into the room.

You buy a compass for the dash of your car.

You are proud of your lawn mower.

Your best friend is dating someone half their age ..... and isn't breaking any laws.

You call Olan Mills before they call you.

Your arms are almost too short to read the newspaper.

You sing along with the elevator music.

You would rather go to work than stay home sick.

You constantly talk about the price of gasoline.

You enjoy hearing about other people's operations.

You consider coffee one of the most important things in life.

You make an appointment to see the dentist.

You no longer think of speed limits as a challenge.

Neighbors borrow your tools

People call at 9 p.m. and ask, "Did I wake you ?"

You answer a question with, "because I said so!"

You send money to PBS.

The end of your tie doesn't come anywhere near the top of your pants.

You take a metal detector to the beach.

You wear black socks with sandals.

You know what the word "equity" means.

You can't remember the last time you laid on the floor to watch television.

Your ears are hairier than your head.

You talk about "good grass" and you're referring to someone's lawn.

You get into a heated argument about pension plans.

You got cable for the weather channel.

You can go bowling without drinking.

You have a party and the neighbors don't even realize it

I am sure NONE of these apply to you...Have a Happy Birthday!! ;o)

You wear it well, FC.

Happy Happy Birthday! I tried to post early this AM, but the word verification was on and would not work. I had to get a 16 year old to help me reset my computer. Oh, the age I feel. I hope you had a great day. 1958 was a very good year as evidenced by many of your very intelligent readers. I am one month and 24 days behind you.

Hope it's been a great Birthday for you FC! I'm almost 21 years older than you, but feel like I just hit 50 on most days. Looking forward to becoming one of the oldest ladies ever! One of my favorite sayings is " Our life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away." Lots of those ahead I feel certain!

Thanks gang!
Your comments were the icing on the cake when I got home from a birthday celebration in the "big city".
Perfect ending to a very happy birthday.
Thanks again for adding to a very good day. All the teasing I ever did came back to me in spades today.
Serves me right!
Let us now begin the next 50!
