Funny, clever Laura of VitaminSea invited her readers to participate in a Summer Photo Meme today.
Here's a few memories I keep in the Endless Summer (classic surfer movie) section of my brain.
Junior on a Gulf Key ... semper paratus.
A seaturtle track and nest from my last summer as an NPS Ranger. I ran a seaturtle nest relocation program and hatched 3000 seaturtle babies that summer. It's been 20 years exactly and some of those female turtles should be returning to nest on this beach this summer.
Perhaps I'll go greet them.
My Katie Bug loving her boat.
My Emma showing off a summertime Steinhatchee scallop.
Summer.
Even here in the Sunshine State we look forward to summer.
Summer for we teachers is not a vacation, essentially it is unemployment for about two months.
I'm not sure how you measure wealth. It seems very open to interpretation, but I know being able to spend sweet summers with my kids has been priceless. I would not trade that time for anything material.
That's how I define wealth.
PS: PER YESTERDAY'S POST, I BET YOU'RE WONDERING WHAT WE NAMED THE RUNT ...

Is the runt named June? ;)
I especially like the way you ended this post. Priceless, indeed.
Those are the types of memories that we never let go!
Such sweet photos and beautiful children! Priceless is right!
