oh,oh! That was where the oral surgeon grafted Jane Doe's jaw into my mouth and then it all fell out at Christmas dinner.
I don't suppose you want to analyze your cat hatred? The rattler video is certainly as good as Olympic beach volleyball-Gold Medal to you if not for the fireants.
Congratulations. It's a macro shot of the sucker of a Loligo squid. This is the most commonly caught genus of squid I believe. When you eat the whole calamari ... you eat these. For me ... squid are extremely fascinating animals, but not on my menu. They do make great bait for other marine denizens that are on my plate however.
Apologies: my Thursday morning schedule did not include blogging and I'm cheating right now, so it's back to work and I'll try to think of something to say by this evening. As always, thanks for playing along!!!

Sucker ring from a squid. Not sure what species. Here are some from a giant squid (Architeuthis dux).
I agree with jason r but not necessarily from a squid but a sucker ring just the same.
I agree. I think it's a close-up of some sort of tentacle.
I think everyone else is right.
I'm going to say octopus just to be different!

Yeah...I think squid, too. Ick!
What they said. Or the eye of one of those fellows they found out in Roswell.
Agree with the tentacle crowd, it does not look friendly, whatever it is.

How about an anemone tentacle just to be different.
Disturbing?
I'm going to be different and say "fish face", just because I don't think I'll ever get the chance to leave that in a comment again. :-)
on the off chance the majority missed the mark, my musing... marine mollusk mouth... mayhaps?
look's like my ex. But the mouth is too small S T E B
Looks like a squid eating a bottle cap. Whatever it is has me slightly un-nerved! LOL

I don't know what that is but it looks gross and mucous-y.

Exactly what I was going to say! LOL

I'd watch my tracks if I were you. (g)
