Are the seeds from the yellow flowers around Bear? Had I seen them without seeing the top photo, I would have guessed that they were some sort of Clematis.
With photography, the sun either works for us or against us. The sun was obviously on your side in these pics, causing Bear to glisten and the seeds to glow.
Talk about an "instant" blog: just add photos and it writes itself (with comments)! Really nice photos. Just one question: are the yellow flowers in the top photo what you zoomed into in the two photos below?

To all,
I think the cluster seed heads are from Virgin's-bower (Clematis virginiana). It was growing along a fencerow and caught my eye.
More later ... gotta go.

Sayre,
I think the yellow is bitterweed. Bear is a cutie isn't he?
Lej,
He's a hunk.
Just Right,
He needs a bath now, ...got into some spilled paint!
3C,
Thanks! I like that one too.
Doug,
No, two separate plants. You pegged the bottom ones.
Naturally,
How true.
Location, location, location.
Robert,
"Wordless Wednesday" is a bit of a break for we daily bloggers. The yellow flowers are a different plant from the two shots below.
