It's a slime mold creeping and reproducing on a rotting oak log in my front "yard".
The bright yellow is the active oozey stage which actually creeps along similar to an amoeba. The tall stalks (what color is that!?) are the slime mold fruiting bodies that are making spores to keep this fungi renewing.
That's my SPOREY? I don't know if you've sunk to a new low or soared to new heights. That color is, um, well not pumice and not really lavender. It's like when you wash your underwear with the darks and reds. Yeah, that's it: "Underwear Mistake"
Wordless and yet you still managed to fit in a pun! ;-)
I get back to the States on Friday to check out what Ike did to the house and shed. Hard to believe it made it all the way up there with that much force!
