Lettuce Prey On Leaves of Green, While We Await Berries Of Blue

The chicken was marinated in lime juice, chopped jalapeno, chopped garlic, kosher salt, black pepper, thyme, and a little EVO.
I grilled it over a REAL wood fire and it came out scrumptious.
The real point of showing you this plate is the salad. That's all homegrown lettuce from the Bubbaponics system.
Sweeeet!

Already the blue to be berries are forming!

The datil babies now have their true leaves, so it is time to transplant them into individual pots. I wil probably use 3-4 inch pots for this second step.
Later, they will move into their own 5 gallon bucket atop the Bubbaponics system.

Why do I think of Petticoat Junction when I see blueberry blossoms?

Once again, an unassuming yet soothing little video to send me on my way to work. The pictures of the datil seedlings are making me itch to get out in my yard and start a garden.

How nice to hear bees, crows and cardinals. Soothing, yes, Miz. S. A recent issue of National Geographic had a piece about pollinators. Apparently bees make that high-pitched sound when they're vibrating the pollen off the anthers. It takes some huge amount of force to do that with some flowers, but bumblebees are up to it.

I have to do a total aphid/whitefly purge of my Garden Pod before I can start any seedlings. Horror show this year!

Lookit that fat little bee! Pollinating everything! Cool. I bet the lettuce is sweet and tender, how satisfying!

Guess what, FC? I'm getting MY VERY OWN GARDEN PLOT in South Beach! Yes, it's a block from the beach, yes, there will be challenges but hopefully, I will be growing some datil chilies soon! This little high rise dweller is so excited.

By the way, I thought blueberries needed cold and boggy soil? I thought they grew well up in Michigan? Your buds look divine! Can't wait to see more!

Miz S,
Happy to soothe.

Dani,
?? I don't know why that would be. Sorry!

La Diva!
That is GREAT news about your own garden plot! I know you will transform your crops into amazing delicacies.
The blueberries I am growing are the southern highbush or rabbiteye varieties. They like the heat! Glad YOU like the banner shot!

Dave,
Just like me.
