HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA!

It's Emma's birthday!

Yes, I know Bear snuck into the picture, but this post is about you.
No, really, it is.
It's only a cruel rumor that if the canoe capsized, "Dad would probably rescue Bear first."

Seriously, you know me better than that.

... besides, he's a Lab. He could outswim us both ...

.. even you, Fish.

Longtime Pure Florida readers have watched Emma grow from a highschool kid to a college student, to a responsible (mostly) adult.

Some of you know that she took over my old teaching slot when I moved from my previous school to Cedar Key.

That was a bit of serendipity.

What's not serendipity is the hard work and talent Emma brings to the science classroom.
I know how tough the challenges are at her school, after all,  I taught there for 22 years.

So it thrills me to no end to hear what a hotshot teacher she is from administrators, parents, and her students.

Administrators can't believe how a fresh-faced new teacher can manage a class with such professionalism.
They also are amazed at her techniques and strategies (Thanks USF!).

In fact they are so amazed they have sent some veteran teachers in to observe her techniques.

Right now, she's enjoying her first spring break as a professional educator by going camping.

I love that too.

Happy Birthday baby girl.

I love you.

Happy Birthday Emma!!! and have a great day!
Wow, I can see why you'd be so proud of her FC! but then I think all of your kids are something to be proud of. Young people like them give me hope for the future when I look around at some of the others.... :/
