CEDAR KEY SUNRISE: WINTER SOLSTICE - SPRING EQUINOX

The top view is Winter Solstice 2012 from the Number 4 boat ramp at Cedar Key.
The bottom view is the Spring Equinox 2013 from the same location.

The island in the far right of the Spring Equinox photo (bottom) is the same island holding up the Sun in the Winter Solstice (top) photo.

Note: The Equinox photo was taken one day after the official Equinox date due to rainy conditions on March 20, 2013.

Spin on, third rock, spin on.

That's nice. I wish I had done something like that at home.

That's beautiful. Love the comparative views. Yes, spin on third rock, spin on!

PS-- I took my spring equinox sunrise pic this morning too. We had two inches of rain yesterday, so we were happily soaked!

Shhhhh. Nobody is supposed to know about Cedar Key. Our secret. By the way, some of us have established and been approved by Urban Sketchers to form what we are calling "Urban Sketchers of Central Florida."

Here is a link to our fledgeling site and group. http://urbansketcherscentralfl.blogspot.com/

Cool things is that we see the same lovely orange orb rising even though we are separated by nearly 2000 miles.

Beautiful. My sunrise view looks over a snowy swamp to bare aspen trees. Yours looks much more inviting.
