Grey Clouds, Grey Hair, and Broken Noses.

Friday night the homecoming queen broke her nose competing in a school basketball game. It was a rebound attempt and the other girl's elbow came down upon the royal nose...crunch!

So Katie is sporting a black nose/eye combo, but seems to be doing okay. She goes for an MRI today. More grey hair for me...

The sky is grey, cloudy, and blustery today with a rain tease, but nothing useful has fallen yet. I'm hoping for some decent cold weather behind this front.

Today is Monday, tomorrow is Friday for me.

...I could get used to two-day work weeks.

I can't believe you waited until now to post this! It happened on Friday, and you only tell us on Monday?

Well, at least she earned it honorably: active in a sport. I suppose it comes as an inconvenience at a socially significant stage of her life, but in years, it will be great conversation fodder (or even blog material if she acquires that addiction).

Wish her well from Pablo in Kansas City.

Our 'soldier boy' has a mark of his own this week! He was playing war games in Germany when he tripped and fell over a tree stump (Size 15 combat boots I'm really not surprised)! Says he has a big strawberry-knot in the middle of his forehead! Guess he doesn't get a purple heart for this huh? Tell the Queen we hope she is doing okay!

Pablo,
It was so slow on my site this weekend, I didn't feel the urge to post additional ...especially with the remodeling hanging over me like the sword of ...whatever.

Lightnin,
Ouch! I hope he's okay.

Send our best wishes for a speedy recovery to Katie. Let us know how the MRI turns out.

Hey, have a great Thanksgiving break, FC. Enjoy the time, take a lot of photos, and take care of that sweet homecoming queen and her broken nose.

RD,
Thanks for the kindness. Her MRI was today, now we are waiting for the DR to review it.
