EMMA'S THE HOMECOMING QUEEN!!!

She did it!! Emma was crowned the 2006 Homecoming Queen! I got to escort her out on to the field at halftime as I did Katie last year.
The King elect was a football player who was in the locker room when they announced his name, so in this pic she is "regina solo".
We are of course, very happy for her, and so proud of her for being a sweet wonderful young woman. Having the student body agree is just icing on the cake.
Her sister Katie as the outgoing queen got to crown Emma which just added to the cool factor of the whole evening.

The picture above is of Emma and her beau Alex. This was in the jittery, stand around waiting for half-time, hope she wins it moments before the big event. We were all a bit awestruck, because our football team seemed to be actually winning the game.
Alex was in the homecoming court also and even though he didn't win the king crown, he's still OUR pick for Emma's escort. He's a good Welsh lad don't ya know.

This last picture is for Swampy who wondered out loud in a comment to yesterday's post, what ketchup, mustard, and relish had to do with the game of twister.

In the Flight Night game of twister, one representative from each highschool class was picked to play Twister with a twist. If you slipped in the goo, you were out.
The winners and the losers were covered in condiments before it was over ...

... and you thought Twister was good, clean fun. Posted by Picasa

Congratulations to Emma! She looks lovely in her gown. I know how proud you are of your wonderful children. Congratulations are also due to you and Mrs. F.C. for the awesome job that you have done raising them. Also, I love yesterday's picture of the Waccasassa River, it looks just like Fish Eating Creek where my husband and I used to camp.

Congratulations to Emma, and to the proud Mr. and Mrs. FC who are most likely beaming more than their beautiful daughter (if that's possible).

What an interesting event... it looks very flashy to me.

That Twister thing is just strange, though ^o.0

Twister nothing. This is great fun, watching sister crowning sister. Congratulations to the both of them. But, FC, how are you going to top this next year? Is there a King in the making?

Congrats to Emma - it's a dynasty!

I could have brought you some blueberries from Maine for the blue dots on the Twister mat. They would have made a lasting impression ;)

Cheers for Queen Emma. I know the FC houshold is bursting with pride this morning as well they should be. Maybe you should write a book on parenting.

Congratulations to Emma. I was wondering about the empty blue dots, and really like swamp4me's idea of a blueberry addition to this twister game.

FC- the salsa marathon has been postponed until Sunday. Had to do laundry and all that. But the mandolin thing was great!

Mac,
Kind of a Readers Digest condensed version.

Deb,
Well, you know there's something so feminine about a mandolin.
